Database Management

Just as ink, type, and paper are inputs into printing, consider the information from databases as the new inputs into variable data printing. A database is simply an electronic file that contains records of information organized in a particular way. For Variable Data Printing, the database stores copy, graphics, and images in electronic format the same way a file drawer is used.

Databases are organized in two ways:

1. By objects and
2. The relationship between the objects
